Have just started working in a firm and am hoping that you experts will ba able to help me. My boss has given me a project and told me taht he expects the results soon( in a day preferably). Am a newbie to this and hope that you will also treat my question as such and guide me.
Heres the scenario....Our company has got web based applicaton built using EASERVER ( sybase application server )..as of now what we used to do is use easerver both as the application as well as the webserver. Actually one of our sister concerns sued to host the site for use.
Now one of our likely clients insist on using apache as the web server as they've already got a few running on it. easerver will be the appln server and they wan tthe pages to be hosted in apache. We downloaded apache and modified the httpd.conf file to use the easerver plugin and now within our lan we;ve set it up so that if we the appln is accessible via apache
that was the easy part. Now my boss wants to take it a step forward...what he wants to do is this..."
he wants to host the site online via our machine....
ie the machine in which apache is installed ( w2k server, apache, easerver all on the same machine). taht is when the clients will come we will from our lan type in the machine name( something like http://machinename/webappl,i presume) and it shoud appear.
hosting it on anothers website is not an optn now. also the machine has got a dial-up. it  will be very very slow but its more of a proof of concept right now.
could somebody please guide me in these steps...host my machine on the net.

am giving all my points for it
