Mirroring data from a public folder to a private folder

Do you know if Exchange has any capability to mirror or replicate data from a public folder, over into a private one (or a bunch of private ones)? My customer has a backend database syncing over to an Exchange public folder, and they’d like to get that same data into a private folder(s), so that data can then be synced over onto their users’ handheld devices.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yes, sort of.  You can use the Folder Assistant, essentially a rule on the public folder, to send items on to a person or a group.  The person, or each person in the group, can then use a rule to move the items forwarded by the fodler assistant to a specific folder.
