they are supposed to be silent fans... but they are not.  i constantly hear them whirring and its starting to get annoying... any ideas of same size fans that are quieter?  these go at 21dba (supposedly)

120mm case fans are supposed to be rather quiet already. You can probably disable the front intake fan.

For my setup. I only have 1 vantec stealth running in the rear. I even yanked the power on the cpu. Yes it runs hot but runs fine, has been for 6 months. Some people will say that it will destroy the cpu. You can do that at your own risk.

Fans will always make noise, so if you want silence don't use fans or use less. =)

Another thing, if the fans are "whirring", it probably means that they have poor bearings. If you can, take it back and demand vantec stealths (20 dB). =)

hmm... thats a good point... i mean... whirring is louder than 21dba... their actual spinning is not loud... its this constant whir that annoys me....
