Hi Experts,

I build a remoting app. No problem, the server works and the client too.
( it works like this : http://www.dotnetspider.com/technology/kbpages/565.aspx )

Now, I need to send a message from the server to a particular user.(not all, only the one I choose)

Do I need my user to be identified when he starts his client app ?
How the server can send the message to him and not to all others ?

Thanks in advance for any help.

If you want to be able to send data also from the "server" to the "clients" you need a both way channel. So both the "clients" as the "server" need to be a client and server in one. If you keep on your "server" a list with a clients, you will be able to send specific messages to them. So all applications in your system need to be setup as both client and server with remoting. Then your problem is solved.
