Hi,

Could you please recommend a relatively cheap or free backup utility that will work with an AIT tape drive? We have windows server 2003 Standard Edition. Our requirements are that the backup can run nightly at 2am (or whenever) and we want a log of events. It should also work for any tape (we have three).

Currently our server has to be backed up manually since I cant get the standard backup utility to schedule properly. Whenever I try in the error log the next day it reads:

"Cannot locate the specified media or backup device. The backup operation will now terminate"

Im sick of it and want to try something else. Thanks.

If your backups are important, try getting real backup software - Backup Exec or Arcserve.
