Hi All,

Have a problem with one of my print queues.  I've set it up as an LPR queue which works well enough.  However the printer is an A3 laser printer but clients only get A4, B5, US Legal and US Letter in the page setup option.  No-one can print to it in A3.

What needs doing?

Students have exams soon and portfolios to submit.  A3 printing is a must!  Urgent!!

I'll assume that you've installed the latest drivers on the client computers.

Where do you have the queue?  On each of the computers or on a central server?

Queue is on a central server.

The printers used to be installed locally to all clients so they should all have the latest drivers.

How is it supposed to be set up??

Check that the paper option is available from the server queue.  (Assuming Windows queue you can start a print to that printer and see if the paper sizes show up there.  If not that's where you need to start looking at this problem.

Another place you can check is in the printer lists on one of the macs.  select the printer queue and hit Command-I (get info)  click on "Name and Location" and see if you have an installable options choice.  It may be that you need to setup the printer to see the A3 paper.
