  Hello

I guess you try to use " Skeeve " is that right ?

OK, so as the name sugests, the "bounce server" term it's used for "bouncing" data from the Client to the Server, normaly like this :
Client -> Bounce Server -> Server and viceversa.

You need a "bounce server" simply because the Client and the Server are in DIFFERENT networks ! So, if the IP classes do not match, or there is any incompability with the route (route down or any connection interruption) you may need to use a so called "bounce server"
  Let me be more clearly:

You have the client with IP 192.168.0.2 with internet connection through a router.
You have a server with IP (random) 217.164.174.12.

Let's say that the router mentioned above it's 192.168.0.1 and a nother interface with IP 193.231.16.48 , NATDed between them, witch it's the default gateway of the Client mentioned above with the above IP.

You can asume that the router it's " the bounce server ", because you can't have a default route from internal network (Client) IP 192.168.0.2 to 217.164.174.12.

Also like the Skeeve documentation reads :

 -------------
The Client of the tunnel is trying to send a packet to the Bounce server with an address of the destination Server as a source IP. The Bounce Server can replay this packet and forward it to the destination Server. By adding some payload to the packet, we can establish a covert communication channel between two computers without direct network interaction. Skeeve Client accepts TCP connections and works as a converter of the IP header (by changing protocol flag from TCP to ICMP echo_request|reply and making some other slight modifications

      Have fun ...
