I have a computer with Oracle 9i and 10g which works fine.

Now I have installed Oracle HTML DB with Oracle HTTP Server, and after installing these work fine.

However, when trying to access Oracle 9i or 10g via OCI from 3rd party tools I get an error: the procedure entry point slcvs2ptr could not be loacated in the dynamic link library oracore9.dll

I assume that my gateway to Oracle that uses oracore9.dll from Oracle\ora92\bin now tries to use oracore9.dll from \Oracle\product\10.1.0\http_1\bin, and that the versions somehow are incompatible (why???),

Can I set the order in which the system searches for oracore9.dll etc?

If I un-install Oracle HTML DB and HTTP Server my application works again,

Is it my Oracle_Homes that conflict?

You have to edit the PATH environment variable. The path to the \bin where your ddl resides should be the first one.
You experience the above mentioned efect because the latest installed product puts its path to the \bin in front of all other paths.
