Hi rmvprasad,
keep in mind that you'll have the preprocessor run after the proc run, so if you want to use macros in the EXEC SQL... part, you need to add another preprocessor run first (OK, it's messy, but it helps in a lot of cases!).

The link I posted is that of precompiling, compiling, and linking in Pro*C. The document/tutorials whose parts were pointed to, are themselves quite detailed. Please reconsider the grade awarded.
