I support several Cisco routers and switches and was recently issued a new laptop that does not have a Serial port. I know there are USB to Serial adapters, but was wondering, does anyone know a way to connect to a switch or router using a rollover cable and a NIC card?

Get the USB to serial adapter.

There is no way to connect to the console port of a Cisco router or switch via a NIC.
