Explorer Pan flickering when connected to network drives

I have windows xp sp-1. When I connect to network drives on windows 2000 machines, sometimes the windows explorer pan will start flickering. It's like auto refreshing the explorer tree every ~ 2 seconds!.

I did a search on google and I found the following article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb%3Ben-us%3B816375

I can not however find the hotfix they are talking about (hotfix 330929). The wonderfull Microsoft web page does not provide a direct link to the hotfix download!!. They want you to go to "windows update", but active-x can not run on my pc (disabled be domain admin).

I don't want to use "windows update", I just need to find the hotfix and apply it.

Thanks

Hello,
that article also says you can apply the patch from here to achieve the same fix:
