grandparent.toppane.location.href ?

Based on a select control "dest", I am sending a URL location to a javascript that then opens a page in the "toppanel" of my frameset. This worked just fine until I placed the select control in an <iframe>

The javascript that i am loading references the parent.frameset to open the right page in the correct frame. when i put the select control in the <iframe>, the iframe becomes the parent and not my frameset therefore does not reference the correct frame. How do I change this to access the grandparent.toppane.location.href ?
function leapto(form) {
var myindex=form.dest.selectedIndex
