Insufficient privilege error restoring Novell GroupWise files using BackupExec

Dear All,

We have an urgent problem that I need your assistance with.

We are running a GroupWise 6.5 Environment on a cluster, which is being backed up using BackupExec 9 version 4201. We are using the SP4 GroupWise and using the GWTSA option. This is backing up to a tape library and up until a few weeks ago was working without any problems.

Recently we started experiencing problems at the Quick Check part of the backup, resulting in an insufficient privilege error. Now when trying to restore one of the GroupWise Post Offices from the backup tapes, it is reporting every file is reporting that there is insufficient privilege to restore the data. This includes text files in the backup so is not just restricted to the GroupWise files.

The BackupExec user account has full rights to the backup and restore area that is being used.

The problem may not be with the privilege. Check if you changed your TEMP file location or SWAP space (virtual memory). You should also check for the availability of sufficient disk space.

Also try adding EVERYONE to the target directory for restore temporarily with full permission.
