Veritas 9 started failing exchange store backup.

aloha, my splendid EE friends.  how are you on this fine monday morning? (does that make you want to vomit or what?)

Annoyingly enough, Veritas 9.0 started claiming a failed status on my exchange "first storage group" backup.  It had been working for about 1yr+ without incident.  As far as I know, nothing has changed. It started doing this 1 week ago.

Here is the log from said backup software:

Network control connection is established between 10.2.110.114:3843 <--> 10.2.1.12:10000
Network data connection is established between  10.2.110.114:3844 <--> 10.2.1.12:58807
Access denied to database Mailbox Store (CORPMAIL01).
WARNING: "\\CORPMAIL01\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group\Mailbox Store (CORPMAIL01)" is a corrupt file.

I have no Exchange problems at all....no errors in the event viewer, etc...all works normally.  Oddly, the backup job total mb backed up INCLUDES the mail store.  So, if it's not backing it up, why would it still take up all the space (70gb). Know what I mean?

I also do an "exchange brick level" backup too.  That works 100% no errors.

I did try re-creating the job too, and it results in the same error message.

Any suggestions?  Please don't mention upgrading veritas to a higher version. Thanks for understanding.

thanks a billion! [canadian]
