ASP.NET with HTA (HTML application)?

I'm attemting to develop an HTA that basically serves up some ASPX files we have.  I currently have the HTA file auto refreshing (at 0 seconds) to the ASPX file.  However, it does not render out the ASPX page, it just gives me the text of the actual code.  This is what I basically need help figuring out -- why does it not render out the pages??

We are doing this for a corporate-wide application and require a few things:
1. an icon replacing the IE logo
2. no menubars, toolbars, etc.
3. This will load every time someone logs on to their computer
3. basically a windows look and feel with web site (ASPX) functionality.

I'm assuming an HTA is the only way to go but I'm open to suggestions.  TIA!

you must access the ASPX files via IIS. If your HTA opens up aspx pages like so: c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\mypage.aspx, you will see the results as unprocessed server-side syntax.
however, if you get your hta to open up the file like so:
http://myserver/mypage.aspx it should render, If it does not, then you will need to register ASP.NET into IIS using aspnet_iisreg.exe -i
