Task Scheduler - Could Not Start - Need Help Please!
Hello Experts
I have about 20 tasks on my win2k3 server. The server acts as the PDC as well as a file server mainly due to the size of the office.
The problem starts when the tasks dont run and i see 'Could Not Start' statement under
the 'Status' column in the task scheduler folder.
The really strage part is when i right-click on the task and select run, it doesnt work, if i retype the password for all of the tasks the work upto about 9pm however any tasks thereafter dont work until i re-enter the passwords the next working day. this is particularly annoying as some of the tasks are set to run in the early morning when the network is the least active.
I have tried everything i know, restarting the server, starting/stopping the service, using different usernames, changing passwords, checking the task scheduler is logged on as local system account under the services control panel and that interact with desktop is checked or unchecked. Nothing seems to have helped this problem.
It seems as though its forgetting the password?
Any help in resolving this problem is much appreciated.

Not to worry i have managed to get a workaround sorted.
I have setup a task which runs every hour for regular backup of an importnant file and it seems to have solved the problem!
