Hi,

I have tried backing up my system, which worked fine, however when viewing the photos back I have noticed that most of them have become distorted - they have got lines running through them or have been 'jumbled up'

is there any reason why this is happening?

thanks,

Will

Try burning at a lower speed... Burning CDs and DVDs at high speeds can cause data corruption (in your case distortion of your photos)

What application are you using to back up the data files?     If you're using something like GHOST, make sure to stay away from compression.   That MAY be another cause........

Hi,

have solved the problem - the data cable between my DVD-drive and PC is busted - works fine in other drives!

cheers,

Will
