Ghost 2003 clone another computer
Ok so I have completely confused myself with this. I have 5 machines that are identical and I would like to clone them from one master. I was under the impression that this is possible by setting up the master to my liking then I would be able to just take the HD's out of the other computers and clone them from the master. Is this possible or is there another way. Im not really sure. I see different options and have done some research. If anyone has any knowledge of a step by step it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You don't have to take the hard disk out. If you have a cd/dvd burner you should be able to burn the image on a cd or dvd and put the (cloned) image on the other 5 machines.
If you dont want to use ghost, you could also check out http://www.download.com and search for digital dolly, this is a free for home users cloning tool that creates a boot cd with the tools needed for you to clone the HD or the Partition.

Well I took out the hd from the system I wanted to clone and put it in my master. ran the clone process. Computer restarted and did its thing. I put the hard drive back in the clone computer and it booted up fine an has all my apps, settings etc... Cool that was easy. Hopefully it is stable...
Are these machines networked together.
If they are, I believe you will run into problems.
Each machine has a unique SID.
Cloning in the way you have will create 5 machines with the same SID.

I broadcast my computer image over my network to usually around 30 machines at a time.
No need to copy the image to a cd/dvd or take out the hard drive.
I'm using Powerquest/Symantec Deploy Center 5.5
Acronis also makes something called Snap Deploy that also lets you image over your network (TCP/IP)
Depending on your network speed, you can usually clone an entire lab of 30 or so machines in like 30-45 mins or less.
