Randomizing Video Thumbnail View in XP

I have a directory with several small video files which all have black screen in front of them for about 1 second. Is there a way to make the thumbnail Windows XP generates random throughout the clip? For instance, rather than showing a thumbnail of the first frame, why not show a thumbnail from the Nth frame?

That way, I can get a far more accurate depiction of what the clip actually is, right now, all the thumbnails are black.

lol thats deep regestry stuff ubers0ldat and not possible as far as I know, however if you wanted to edit your video clip to show a picture of the first frame instead of black that would solve it for you.

another option is to take a snapshot of one frame depicting that video clip, save it as a jpg and paste it into a new separate folder with the video clip. Then simply re-name the jpg to>>  folder  nothing else no dot or anything else. Close the new folder..
when you look at the front of this new folder now  instead of the old yellow colour it will now have the picture you renamed folder as its cover..  try one even if its just a picture of anything, just rename it folder and thats what your folder will look .. :)
