I am on my PC at home and have found I am running in a 'execute shell'  what is this?  From what I can gather, it is a 'artificial invironment' created by some server somewhere that is watching whwat all I do and showing me what it wants to from the web, altering my downloads, etc. . . . I am not on a server.  I am just a home user.  Help!!!! I can be reached at < sub.cub@gmail.com >

Where did you find "execute shell" - where is it running from?

Hi!

In the "Run" box - type msconfig
The dialogue box that comes up will show most (if not all) things running at startup.
To see the services running type services.msc.

Something else you might want to try, concerning "execute shell"
is "Rootkit Revealer" (it's free) from:
http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/freeware/rootkitreveal.shtml
Run it and see if it "flags" something.

While you're at Sysinternals, take a look at some of their other free utilities - good ones!
Process Explorer - a good viewer.
