Flash Next Button

Hi!

I have a problem with Flash "next" button.

I attached to the "Next" button a script as follows:

on (release)
{
gotoAndStop (_currentframe + 5);  // to move the playhead 5 frames up

}

The "Next" button worked just fine in scene 1, but not in scene 2.

In scene 2, when the "Next" button is pressed, the playhead jumped to the end of the scene.

Hope that you geniuses may help me soon.

Thanks!

Hi again!

I think I put stop(); at five frames where I want the playhead to move up when the next button is pressed..

Is it what I am supposed to? If it is wrong, would you kindly explain what I need to do?

Many thanks!

Dear FLAASGER:

Thank you very much for your kind help.

My work (exe file) is available at the following link:

http://duta1.home.mchsi.com/duta1.exe

The link is not active. You may need to copy this url and paste it in your system. Can you kindly let me know how to make the above link active?

One major pending problem with my work is that when continue is pressed and then next button is pressed, the playhead jumps up the end of the slide show, instead of by five frames as it is supposed to do (Back button works just fine).

My flash knowledge is very limited and my work is very coarse. Hope you may kindly understand.

Thanks!

Hi!

I resolved this problem by myself.

So I would like the site manager to remove my question.

Thanks!
