Syncing Blackberry error

I have a 7100t Blackberry.  It's working fine and wirelessly communicating with the Web Client / Blackberry Internet.  Howver I cannot get it to Sync with my PC. It sees it and the connection is activated but I get the following error message:

<<The specified Intellisync configuration is invalid>>

The message displays when I try the "Synchronize now" option and when I try the "configure PIM" option.  Can anyone help?  I desperatly need this resolved.

Thank you,

What OS are you running on your desktop? The following will work for Windows 2000 or XP.
Close out of the Blackberry Desktop manager.
Open Windows Explorer and navigate to "Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Research In MotionBlackberry\Intellisync" You may need to show Hidden Files and Folders to view the Application data
Under the Intellisync folder you should have 2 or more sub folders. Delete the sub-folders only. Don't delete the files in the Intellisync folder.
Open the Blackberry Desktop Manager and connect your Blackberry and then try to sync.
You should be fine now.

When open the Intellisync folder there are 3 FOLDERS (manila folders) and 5 other "things" ...Ptrace.text doc, template.deploy, ilsync.gid, ilsync.cnt.bak and ilsyncptsfg (and outlook config ) .  I should delete these files???

OH THANK YOU.............I hope this works.........let me know if these are the ones I should delete.

Just delete the folders all of the files in the Intellisync folder should not be deleted.
Just to clarify. The 3 FOLDERS should be deleted. The 5 files you listed should not be deleted.
