That M$ DNS does itself. You don't need to worry about it. DNS caches all the results automatically and releases at a certain time. If you want more throughput then you need to use ISA server for Web Caching.

What is your exact requirement?

Let me know.

Thanks

SystmProg,
We need a very fast DNS Solution for our outgoing email servers. At  the moment the dns requests seem to be a bottleneck. As currently set up, MS DNS service sucks up 60 - 80% of the resources on the DNS machine (a single proc p4 3ghz).

Thanks,
Rick

Oh!..Here it is: -

To increase the size of the DNS cache, open REGEDIT and navigate to; 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Dnscache\Parameters'

Create the following DWORD values:

CacheHashTableBucketSize = 1
CacheHashTableSize = 180
MaxCacheEntryTtlLimit = ff00
MaxSOACacheEntryTtlLimit = 12d
