How can I programmatically send attachements via an Access 97 application without using Outlook.
I am trying to programmatically send Access reports as attachments (preferably mutliple attachments per email). The only mail client installed on the workstations is Outlook Express. Any suggestions? Are there any free or cheap mail clients that will work with the sendobject command or is there another route I should go?
You could use CDO for windows

The access app I am trying to add this functionality to is Access 97. The OstroSoft SMTP Control appears to have a minimum system requirement of Access 2000.
Should CDO for windows work with Access 97?
Should CDO for windows work with Access 97?
CDO for windows should work with Access as long as you are running Windows 2000 ar above

Do you need to have an email client that supports automation to use CDO? I've got it working with CDO when I run it from a computer with Outlook installed, but I can't get it to work from my computer that only has Outlook express installed on it. In the end I will need this to work on PCs without Outlook installed.
