Sharepoint. Access requests are not enabled.

Hi

I have a sharepoint site that i used to be able to access.

In IIS I then added a host header value and changed the port number.

Now all I get is this error

Access denied. You do not have permission to perform this action or access this resource.

Access requests are not enabled.

The weird thing now is i can take away the host header value and change the port back and it will say the same error message. I have obviously messed something up.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
Adam

Have you changed anything else?  Authentication perhaps?

What OS and SP and hvae you applied any service packs to sharepoint?

Transaction-level recovery for Oracle database

Veeam Explore for Oracle delivers low RTOs and RPOs with agentless transaction log backup and transaction-level recovery of Oracle databases. You can restore the database to a precise point in time, even to a specific transaction.

CV clarification - while this question is not technically abandoned due to adam_pedley's post of 04-26-2005, I can't bring myself to regard that as a legitimate post and so have disregarded it.  Should anyone take issue with my choice to opt for the spirit of the rules over the letter of the rules, please note that you have the right to bring this to the attention of the IIS Page Editor or anyone else in authority that you feel would be appropriate.

adam_pedley,

Please remember that the Experts here are generally professionals who give free advice on their own time.  As such, I would suggest that you have an ethical obligation to give their comments at least as much attention as they have given your question (and, of course, an obligation to do so under the E-E rules that you agreed to when you signed up).

We all understand and respect the realities of busy schedules, but having reviewed sjr1170's link, I find it hard to believe that you haven't been able to set aside fifteen minutes in the past month to test the two potential resolution methods the link recommends.  You've certainly had the time to ask and participate in several other questions over that same time period.
