http post

hi, i'm working on a project where the documenation states the following:

The Real-Time Payment Confirmation is sent over the Internet via an http or https post to the Biller's URL (where I am the biller)

so on this specific URL, say http://www.asdf.com/rtpc.cfm , i am trying to receive this information.

do i use the <cfhttp tag or does "http post" mean the same as a regular form post?

it dpeends on how the site is sending you the infromation.... my instincts tell me to look at the form post first....

u can use the following code to print out all form values that your page receives

<CFOUTPUT>
<!--- to see a list of all form values #Form.FieldNames# --->
<!--- too loop thru all the form fields ---->
  <CFLOOP item="key" collection="#form#">
    #key# - #form[key]#<br>
  </CFLOOP>
</CFOUTPUT

So that means yes, HTTP post is a regular form post.
