Installtion of Exchnage server and outlook 2003 clients from POP3 - mail still being dropped and sent from personal folder

I recently upgraded a server to Exchange 2003 and installed the Outlook 2003 Clients from an adminstrative installation via group Policy. The new client imported the profiles and old mail from the existing outlook 2000 clients. I then added the exchnage mailbox for each user from Control panel and made the exchnage server connection the default mail setting.

All mail that is sent is being dropped in the sent items of the personal folder and all mail that comes in via the new exchnage is being dropped into the inbox of the personal folder. This is not what I expected. Where do I force outlook to use the users Exchnage folders.

Go to tools\email accounts\view or change existing email accounts click NEXT
on that page u will see the option "deliver new email to the following location"
on the dropdown option choose users mailbox instead of personal folder....
