This may be a very simple question to most of you, but I am trying to put together a slide show on DVD using Adobe's Encore 1.5.  I want to fade from one slide (picture) and into the next slide.  To save me, I can not find a smooth transition effect in the program, and I would bet it would HAVE to be there...  Can anyone help?  Thanks...

Encore is a DVD Menu application. Did you get Adobe Premiere with Encore?  Adobe Premiere is a video editor.  You can apply transitions with that program between photographs.

There are some free editors out there too. Even Photoshop Elements 3 will let you create a slideshow from a folder of images and add sound to it. You can then bring it into Encore if Encore encodes mpeg 2 video. Seems like it will.
