The beginning of Sendmail setup for novice

Using FC3 and want to start running sendmail.

I have run an 'rpm -qa | grep sendmail'  and see I have sendmail and sendmail-cf installed. Sendmail is running.

However from the two pieces of literature I have begun to read (which I have stalled on) I have gotten confused as to what I need. On one document I read I need ipop3d, which is not installed, and I cannot find with yum.  Then there seems to be a file for imap which I must be searching for with the incorrect name. I do have the M4 macro package but I think that is not something I need for imap or pop.

Can someone point me in the right direction here? My understanding is there needs to be some sort of pop or imap but I'm not sure how to proceed with making it happen.

FC3 uses cyrus-imapd.
yum install cyrus-imapd

You only need pop3 or imap if users are going to be connecting to your system to pickup your mail - sendmail has nothing to do with pop3 or imap. Foe configuring sendmail I would recommend webmin - you can get it at  http://www.webmin.com/

That should be "picking up THEIR mail" and "FOR configuring sendmail" - Its been a long day :)

My intent is for users to be able to POP the server and download their email to outlook, etc. I am using this as a learning experience for a non critical mission and I enjoy working in the CLI so I want to work it from that first.
