Where is GD on the Fedora Core 3 DVD?

Or do I need to download the package instead?

Hmm, should be there.
Have you tried

locate gd

?
Or else
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/3/i386/os/Fedora/RPMS/
making an assumption about your hardware.

I don't really want to download it after the fact.... I want php to be compiled with GD support. The easiest way to do that is to make sure I install it during the OS installation. In order to do that I need to find out where the GD package is... I mean, under which package group is it? I can't seem to find it. Thanks for your help.

I have done it after-the-fact but that but that doesn't allow php to be precompiled with gd support. I want it all done in one fell swoop.
Pls help, I really need this.
I wasn't using yum to install it previously... but when I tried your yum suggestion it worked perfectly. Thanks!
