Getting a wrapper application to print

Hi,

I'm developing an application to design garden decks in a 3D application called Anark Studio. To be able to save and load data, I've had to get the Anark Player embedded into a wrapper application developed in visual studio as the Anark Player doesn't natively support these functions.

I've now found out that it also doesn't support printing either. Keeping in mind that I've zero experience of visual studio and I don't even own it, where might I find a solution to getting the 'wrapper' to output whatever is being displayed. It was mentioned that this would be a simple task to locate the code that does it.

If it is a simple task to add in the code to handle a print function call created by the embedded Anark Player software, then I might buy visual studio and have a go myself, though I'd rather not. Otherwise it's a case of outsourcing this task, but I have very little budget available. What are my options and how easy would it be to do?

thanks

Ian

Printing is almost the same as drawing, I don't know how Anark Player draws on screen (DirectDraw, OpenGL, or just WinGDI).
If you have GDI drawing method, then printing is really easy by creating a Printer DC instead of a Screen DC (device context).

Anark Player can use DirectX, OpenGL or software modes to draw on screen, defined by the user or whatever it can find on the system.

Well, will be better if you can use Windows GDI's DC drawing,
then you can use some of these printing facilities for MFC:

Thanks Jaime,

That tells me that it's too much for me to take on board and handle myself - is it something that you (or anyone else) would like to help out on ($$$) ? I need to be able to print whats on screen at the time - and it would be neat if I could print out a simple dynamic table with 3 or 4 columns and as many rows as needed. So that's two distinct types of print function to suppliment the existing load/save features that I've already got code for.
