Terminal services in application mode for Windows 2003

I am trying to install Citrix Metaframe Presentation server 3.0 which requires Terminal services to be installed with Application mode. I have searched on this topic and found that if you use Add and Remove programs and then choose Add additional windows component and install Terminal services, It’s considered as installed in Application mode ( please correct if I am wrong)

I am using Windows 2003 server standard edition.

Also do I have any grace period for the TLS and if I do then how many licenses I get with Windows 2003 server standard edition.
Sorry I am new to win 2003 server and Terminal services.

Once I install the terminal services as suggested, my installation for citrix presentation server ends with error message that terminal services should be running in application mode. So my question is how to install terminal services in Application mode.

Grace period=120 days

to install TS in app mode, uninstall ( it is currently in emote admin mode), then reinstall and select Application mode.

I tried uninstalling it and then reinstalling it, where does it gives you the option of choosing either the remote mode or application mode as I don't remember seeing that option?

installing terminal server in 2003 means installing it in application server mode.
now for remote admin you donot have to install it only make sure that allow users to connect remotely under the mycomputer properties Remote tab is checked.

now comming to your problem the citrix would also want the terminal server license server also installed in the domain.
have you done that.
you will also have to install terminal server cals .
if thats  so then it could be a differnt problem.
check the eventvwr for any events.

I have installed the Terminal Server but I still can’t connect to the server through citrix since I haven’t purchased the TSL's. I thought I will have the grace period for 120 days but I think that is for the administrator login only. The other users can't log in so I will be buying the TSL's.
Thanks everyone for your input.
