How come when I retrive values from an sql database in perl, everything is in lowercase. I looked at the actual database and everything is capitalized right.

Here's an example problem:

KeepCool - keepcool

Why is it doing this?

I'm not doing anything to the value when I retrieve it in the perl script.

can you show us some code? specifically the part where you get the values from the database. it's definitely not normal behaviour; I run a lot of projects with databases, and never have this issue.

I'm sorry I figured out what I was doing... heh it wasn't anything to do with the database, but rather a cookie user name getting stored instead of the "true" member name... resulting in all lower case.

Thanks for the attempted help
