getting error trying to install 2000 server

I am trying to install windows 2000 advanced server.  I get the screen about scsi drivers. Then I get the following error setupdd.sys could not load. error code 7. Hit any key to exit.  I tried the install on 4 different type pc's includeing a Dell  and get the same thing.
Anyone got a clue as to what this is telling me?  Removed all extra cards and turned of all bios caching.

Try a different CD.

Did you mean cd drive or cd? I tried 4 different cd drives and only have one CD.
A different CD.

Then get another CD.

I've had similar problems (and I think once, the same problem) and even though the CD LOOKED ok, it wouldn't work.  If you have to, make a new slipstreamed CD.

Here's some links for slipstreaming:

I've had the same thing, once I simply made a copy with Nero and the copied one worked fine.
coping does not help
microsoft web site says that the install doesn' t like some type of hardware, but I had win 2000 pro on the computer before trying to install server and it didn't complain.

going to try using win 2000 setup floppies to start install.
