hi
we had 9i database with 8i form developer (client-server)
then we change  8i froms to 9i forms(web-based)
now
our persian fonts as like as "گ چ پ ژ"
are irregular in the sttrings

example : we had data in database as "گرچه"
but when we query data from 9i forms our font will be "ه چ ر گ"

nls language in database = ar8mswin1256

hi

you can create an Oracle application supporting Farsi through AR8MSWIN1256 or UTF8. Oracle's support will be restricted by the OS support for Farsi data input/output. Also, there will be no built-in Oracle support for specific Farsi sorting or date formatting.

Oracle9i Locale Builder allows you to add user-defined Farsi support to Oracle9i until built-in support is provided.
