i take it that your copying from PC to CD, or from CD to CD. please post if thats correct. i can explain that, but i need to be sure that it isnt file to file on a harddisk copy

Hi

It is file to file on hard disk copy..

No CD to PC.

Ok, im gonna assume that you dont mind to have the program not running. The first thing is to make sure it doesnt load at startup at all. That way it wont suddenly popup and nag you with itsself. Download: http://www.snapfiles.com/download/dlstarter.html

The tool i pointed to is a startup manager. it lets you see what programs boot together with windows. If you run it, yoyu get a list of things that start. Just disable all programs that are Roxio. The tool is easy enough to use and it will point out itsself how it works.

Now, the thing i told you will solve 99.5% of all the startup issues. if it STILL loads post it here, and ill type out the other 0.5% of the solution. Why i didnt do that at once? because its 0.5% and the post wouldv been much LONGER if i had to type out how to stop a DLL file from loading into memory ^^. Its not that i dont WANT to type it, but its becaus i think you dont NEED it :)

I have Roxi installed for long time, but all was OK tiill latly..
Let's try yout 0.05% :-)
or I can try removing Roxio.

Thanks
ok great ^^ your most probally one of the other 0.5% of the cases.

Well, then just the 0.5 part.

Possibility 1) Open configuration screen => Prestations and maintenage => system management => Component services. )i cant guarantee that are the names; i aint got english XP) The component services are the DLLs that start together with windows. Have a look if you can find a roxario, or a roxario related name. Then disable that service, so it wont start with windows

Possibility 2) When roxio runs, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE. This will open the taskmanager. go to the Processes tab, and see what processes are running. Get the name of the application that roxio uses. Then search with windows where that file is located and delete it. i know this ISNT really the best methode, and i hate writing such a methode down, since its something like a smash with a hammer solution. i think PB 1 solves it, but u never know.....
oh, before i forget: dont delete until some other experts give their opinion. as i said, i think methode 1 will work, but it it DOESNT just see if anyone else still has ideas
