I have to accept that Generic Host Process connects to two IPs before I get internet access, is that normal?

I am using Windos XP Pro SP2, Zone Alarm Pro
When I connect the internet via my dial-up, I get two pop ups from ZA and if I don't permit them then I get no internet access.

both say "Do you want to allow Generic Host Process for Win32 Services to access internet"
the first is dest IP
the second is dest IP 193.232.2248.2:DNS
Is this normal?
I also get about 5 automatically blocked IP address, which I don't know why, but I'm new with firewalls.  But If I don't accept the two above mentioned requests, my internet access doesn't work, even though I'm connected to ISP, no data transfer occurs.

I did a whois, and one couldn't be resolved, the other looked official (Beltelecom) but I don't know.
