HOW does Crystal reads records from a subreport that are also read in the main report

Does this create a read conflict.  IS there any type of record locking or something of the kind?  Let me know.

I have a report, with a subreport in it.  (The main is the detail, and the subreport is the summary)  They both pull data from the same table.  Is this a conflict?

There is only one restriction about subreports. if you use a subreport in the main report, you can insert a subreport to the subreport of the main report.

Other than that there is not any. YOu can insert a subreport to the main report and then subreport can query the ame tables a s the main report. It can be anything. It can be linked subreport to the main report or unlinked
Hopefully this helps

I know of no problem unless the database is setup to lock tables.

This may be useful

I think ebolek had a typo: "if you use a subreport in the main report, you can NOT insert a subreport into the subreport of the main report."

I accept this answer assuming you meant YOU CANNOT use a subreport of the main report.  Thanks!
