dcpromo initiates shutdown
Hi all,
I've got this problem when trying to run dcpromo on a Win2000 domain server: it initiates a shutdown as soon as I type "dcpromo" in the run box and press enter. I'm trying to make this machine an additional DC.
(By shutdown, I mean that it displays the 30second countdown window that you see if you were to run "shutdown -r")
Anyway, the problem never goes away.
The machine affected is running W2K Server 2000 SP4 FW1.1 and all the latest patches (except the FW1.1 service pack 1).
The domain is a Win2K Active Directory type.
TIA
