How to change the default Selected color in a ListBox or DropDownList

ListBoxes and DropDownLists gets the Selected Color from Windows, I need to change this.
Can anybody send me a piece of code which shows how can I change this default color for ... "Blue" for example?

Like this?

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">

<title> New Document </title>
</head>

<body>
<form method=post action="">
<select name="" style="background-color: blue;">
      <option>A</option>
      <option>B</option>
</select>
</form>
</body>
</html>

Now if you want to see many possibilities, take a look at this:

However, results will vary by browser, and while you can set the font color and the background, I don't believe that you can change the actual selected color.
