Abort - Prevent shutdown...

Hi...

In XP its easy to prevent a shutdown caused by unwanted applications by typing
Shutdown/a in command prompt...

Is there a way to prevent an abnormal shutdown at windows 2000 ?
Or an application ?

Thanks in advance.. :)

Hi,

Same answer, shutdown /a it's only not copied by default and is part of the resource kit. Just copy it into a folder which is in your path (e.g. c:\winnt or c:\winnt\system32)

Let me know if this worked.

Hi CodeK,

Yes you can also copy it from XP to Windows 2000 should just work as normal.
There is also an alternative from www.sysinternals.com (under freeware tools) called PShutdown. I use this one most of the times.

Cheers
