.net client and Axis message style web service

I have a java web service (message style that uses the method signature public Document method(Document body){}) on AXIS 1.1. and VB.Net client (the stub was generated using the WSDL exe).Actually the web service takes up XML document as input and echoes it back to the client. I can invoke the web service from my .net application  but the return  object to .net client is NULL.  The same web services works fine if i use MSSOAP LIBRARIES (SOAP TOOLKIT 3.0) in my application but we are not supposed to use SOAP TOOLKIT as per the requirement. The both REQUEST and RESPONSE soap messages are fine (monitored it by using tcpmon TOOL).  We are able to send the XML document as input to the web service (we checked it by accessing the document recieved in our web service code) but .net client is not able to recieve the XML document sent from the web service as the response is NULL.

Please help us as it is very urgent. If you want  i can send the web service code,.net code and WSDD..etc
