Disabled Run using the NoRun regedit, however one can still start programs using the Taskmanager, and Users Tab - File - New Job...

This seems as a bug in Windows because
File - New Job...
has been disabled in every other Task manager Tab.
Iam aware that i can disable the Task manager however i would like the users to be able to use this feature of windows however the New Job (run) command should not be available. How do i remove it from the Users Tab, or is there maybe a way i can disable the Users Tab ?

You could try setting the policy instead:
Run gpedit.msc
Choose User Configuration | Administrative Templates | Start Menu and Taskbar | Remove Run menu from Start Menu
Set to Enabled

I'm not positive it will help you, but could be worth a try!

As far as I know that's how it is.
No good!

But there is a solution!
You can use BeyondLogis's "Trust-No-Exe" :
http://www.beyondlogic.org/solutions/trust-no-exe/trust-no-exe.htm

It is a brilliant piece of tool and can be deployed automatically and very fast on multiple computers.

Just read - http://www.beyondlogic.org/solutions/trust-no-exe/trustnoexev304.pdf

When I'm at work I don't get a Users tab, because the PC has joined a domain.

The only other condition that turn the Users tab off that I can think off is to turn offline files on. You need to turn fast user switching off first though. As far as I know you should be able to do all of this through local policy.

If that's not going to help, then I guess you'll have to try something third party, like ronkupper's solution.

Definitely a boo-boo on Microsoft's part though - good spot!

Or maybe you just need to turn fast user switching off and I didn't test it properly...

Oops!

Very nice.. turned of fast user switching. And it works !
Thanks !

But sad that the feature cannot be used because of a  Visibility check on one "New job (Run...)"  item
