I have two Active directory integrated DNS servers in my windows 2000 environment. If I check the SOA-record on my root domain server (Server A) the DNS server points to itself (server A). If I check the SOA-record on my second DNS server (server B) this one also points to itself (server B). Shouldn't both SOA records point to server A?

Why the both server should point to one server only. You have designed one domain with two domain controllers then you must have configured one server as authoritative for each domain controller.

So the setup with each DNS server pointing to itself is correct?

And if so what whould I enter in the DNS networksettings of Server B netwerkcard. Should the primairy DNS server of networkcard server B point to its own IP adress or should the IP adress of the primairy DNS server point to the IP-adres of server A?

That's what you need for each domain controller means they are authoritative for their domain controllers or zone.

Server A network settings ----------- Server A DNS Server address.
Same for Server B

Hmm when you say 'Same for Server B'. Do you mean Server B points to Server A DNS address? or to itself?
