Print external swf only

I have a main swf that has an mc in it called dropZone -
dropZone loads multiple external swfs at the end users discretion -
each external swf has another mc called dropZone2 which load internal mc's randomly -
when all the variables have been fullfield there is an mc with print btn that loads into dropZone2.

What I need is for the end user to only print out what would appear in the  movie clip dropZone2 on frame 2 and not the outter container that hosts the mc dropZone.  Follow?

Trust me there is a method to my madness - and it is for ease of content editing at later dates.

I have tried to use this:

on(release){
printAsBitmap("dropZone2","bframe");
}

with frame 2 of the mc inside of dropZone 2 having the frame label #p.

but it not only prints what is inside the container mc dropZone2, but also the Main movie that host dropZone, so everything on the stage gets printed when I only want frame 2 of the external swf that is loaded into dropZone2 to print.

Confusing I know but were did I go wrong.

Thanks,

Franky B.

PS I am using MX 2004

have you assigned the #b frame label to the frame you want to print?

if you don't assign the #P frame label to the relevant frame/s the size of the print area will be determined by the stage size.

yup sure did...

My understanding of that is that I literately have to give the frame a label of "#p” would I be wrong in stating this?

yes, have you tried with a capital #P as opposed to lowercase on the frame labels?

also,
print(_root.dropZone2, "bframe");
(unless the mc has alpha tweens etc, print will do it - and I don't think you need the quotes around the target)

believe it or not I used this

print(this, "bframe");

and that is what did the trick.
