Using MS Comm Control 6.0 to send an exe (or any) big file via rs232

I have two computers, and a rs232 connection, aprox @ 9600 baud rate.
I have to send a file 0.2 to 2MB long (it is a MDB file.)
I have used the comm control to send/recieve ASCII chars. But the file has non-ASCII chars.

What should I do? Encode the file in some way? Send it in parts? how? I have no idea what to do.

Thanks in advance,
jag

Have you been able to use that example to transfer *.exe files or just on text files?

(Actually, I haven't been able to send or recieve any file at all, and the connection is ok, since I've already tried the connection using the mscomm control)

Thanks to Shiju,

I was looking for an advice
"What should I do? Encode the file in some way? Send it in parts? how? I have no idea what to do."
Not for code, but it was useful anyway.

Maybe I should send first a tag with the file's crc32, then send the file, then request confirmation, etc etc

Well, thanks.
