Recently my IIS crashed and it won't restart giving the following error :-<br />
The World Wide Web Publishing Service service terminated with service-specific error 2147500034 (0x80004002)<br />

Upon research i found that this error can be caused by a corrupt metabase. So i had to re-install Windows 2003 in order to get IIS working again.<br />
<br />
I would like to avoid this situation in the future and I was wondering if I can keep a backup of the metabase on a CD, and the next time IIS crashed i simply restore the metabase from the CD. But i'm not sure how to go about backing up the IIS metabase, what files to backup, and then how to restore. <br />
