Using beans from Java webservice (Axis)

I have a simple webservice (webservice.jws) which works fine. Now I want to move out some of the functionality to a Java bean, where do I deploy the bean on the tomcat server, if I don't want to do any additional PATH entries?

    Put it in WEB-INF/classes of the web app

    Add the jar containing the bean into WEB-INF/lib
