This is a question regarding creating a Linux GUI application. &nbsp;If I create a gui app, would it be specific to a particular windowing manager, or could it be used with both GNOME and KDE? &nbsp;For instance I know that the program kdevelop requires KDE in order to run. &nbsp;My question stems mainly from the fact that I don't understand the Linux windowing system at all. &nbsp;How does KDE or GNOME relate to XWindows. &nbsp;How does xorg fit into this (I know I am running xorg on my computer). &nbsp;
