Database or not?

I am designing an extensive resource for my pupils on DVD. I am not sure if it is feasible to use Access to catalogue all my data? If so is it feasible to use with Dreamweaver?

Hi kjcduffy,

I'm not sure about using an Access database on a DVD, but using Access is certainly feasible.  And yes, Dreamweaver works fine with Access.

Cheers!

kfc,

I think if you don't really need to do some analysis or reporting, excel is already enough doing so.

First - Less effort is needed
Second - Sorting and filtering are still possible
Third - Easy to maintain for anyone, even the student

So if you don't really need to use some special function that only database can provide
I suggest excel here

It depends how you are using the Access database...

If you are using it to store data that your application will use then it can be an excellent choice and will run off of your DVD just fine.  However, if you are wanting to use the database to store information about your pupils performance, understand that you won't be able to write back to the DVD.

I hope you don't mind the split.
Many thanks for your time
